As a result of exchange, mare Gulsanam has arrived at Shamborant stud. While studying her pedigree, I discovered that her grand dam, bay mare Daisa, primary registration number 131001300, born in 2000 in Astrakhan region at the studfarm of breeder Mikitov, is included in the studbook under her dam Djida (number 2717, vol X, part II, page 96) with “sire unknown”. How is it possible that Gulsanam was allocated a primary registration number and registered as a purebred with Satrap 1274 as her sire is a mystery.
